Sargam Kaushal, a resident of Jammu, was named Mrs. World 2022 in the worldwide competition for married women held in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States.

"After 21–22 years, the crown is back with us. I'm overjoyed. The newly-crowned Miss World expressed her happiness after winning the title in a video that she released, saying, "Love you India, love you world.

Sargam is the daughter of Meena Kaushal and G S Kaushal, a former Chief Manager at the Bank of India. She is from the Bahu Fort neighbourhood of Jammu City and attended Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School in Gandhi Nagar Jammu for her education. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from Government B.Ed College in Jammu after completing her undergraduate studies at Women College in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.

Sargam wore a stylish and sophisticated pink sleeveless gown embellished with sequins for the Mrs. World beauty pageant's final round. Even though she sobbed when she realised she had won, the beauty queen made sure to walk the red carpet wearing her sparkling new crown.

She defeated contestants from 63 countries to become the winner of Mrs. India World at a gala event in Las Vegas.The winner of the Mrs. India contest was revealed today on its official Instagram page. "The long wait is ended; the CROWN is returned after 21 years!"

 

The 31-year-old Sargam is married to Jammu native Aditya Manohar Sharma, a Lieutenant Commander in the Indian Navy, and works as a teacher, content writer, model, and painter.Speaking to the Excelsior, Sargam's father G S Kaushal remarked that the victory was a wonderful occasion for the entire country. He claimed that Sargam was an exceptional youngster who had done well in all she had done up to that point.

The pleased father stated, "God blesses those who help themselves. Daughters are a blessing. And the entire family was feeling short of words to express the emotions on Sargam's accomplishment.

 

The crown was given to Sargam by American Shaylyn Ford, Mrs. World 2021, during a ceremony this morning at 6:30 a.m. at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino (IST). Mrs. Polnesia and Mrs. Canada were named as the first and second runners-up, respectively.
